By periodically reducing the pressure in the adsorption vessel, the adsorbed oxygen is desorbed, regenerating the CMS for the next adsorption cycle.

Membrane nitrogen generation is a technology that utilizes polymeric membranes to separate nitrogen from other gases in compressed air. The membrane consists of tiny pores that allow smaller molecules, such as oxygen, to pass through more readily than larger molecules, such as nitrogen. As compressed air passes through the membrane, nitrogen is concentrated on one side, while oxygen and other impurities are permeated to the other side.
